Legendary Homecare Agency was born from a deeply personal experience for our founder, Ernest Gibson.

While caring for his mother, Mrs. Martha Gibson, in Jamestown, North Dakota, Ernest experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to find the right type of dependable, compassionate home care. He wanted his mother to receive more than just help with daily tasks. He wanted her to be treated with dignity, patience, respect, and genuine care.

As he searched for a home care provider in the community, he struggled to find the level of care and commitment he believed his mother deserved. That experience led him to a simple but important question:

“If I am having difficulty finding the right care for my mother, how many other families in our community are facing the same challenge?”
